OCTOVO

The daily board shows up to ten tiles, each loading independently of the others; its layout adapts, or you can rearrange it yourself. The guided tour runs once on its own and can be restarted any time from Settings.

The first screen, and how you get to know it

After setup, the daily board is open — the “Today” window. What it shows comes from a catalogue of ten tiles; which ones appear, and how large, Otto first decides from your situation.

The “Today” window re-enacted Re-enacted Today window with four tiles: the day at a glance, one email waiting for your yes, the day’s appointments, and the inbox with three new emails.

The tile catalogue

Appointments and deadlines for the day at a glance.
Waiting for your yes

Appointments

Inbox

Recent mail

Jobs

Quota

Weather

Operations
The app’s own operating status.

On top of that, you can set up your own free-form tiles. Every tile loads independently of the others — a slow calendar server does not hold up the inbox.

The tour, station by station

Thirteen stations, in exactly this order. The tour starts once on its own, as soon as setup and sign-in are done — after that, any time again from Settings.

  1. Welcome — a short opener, exit any time with Escape.

  2. The logo — clicking it returns you to the daily board from anywhere.

  3. Daily board — appointments, mail and what Otto has already prepared, at a glance.

  4. The conversation — this is where you talk to Otto like an employee.

  5. The input field — a leading slash opens commands like “/approvals” or “/connections”.

  6. The autonomy dial — how thoroughly Otto thinks; more thoroughness costs more quota.

  7. Approvals — before anything risky, Otto asks first; open requests live here.

  8. Connections — mailboxes, calendars and other accounts are connected here.

  9. Memory — what Otto remembers about you and your work, viewable and deletable.

  10. Quota — the overview of what is left of the month.

  11. Settings — how independently Otto may act, its name, the language; the tour itself also restarts from here.

  12. Suggestions — clicking one fills the real input field; if you actually send it, the tour ends right there.

  13. Closing — the key stations are shown, explore the rest yourself or just ask Otto.
